We’re delighted to announce a new collaboration with Sophie Ruggles at La Masia Alt Penedès with a unique creative retreat with Scratch Director Carmel Byrne.
This is a four night art retreat in the Catalan Region in Spain. Our host is Sophie Ruggles, an Australian chef who has established a holiday retreat in a century old building with an interesting history, La Masia Alt Penedès. Surrounded by six hectares of gardens, forest and even ruins. The property is located in the wine area of Alt Penedès, long considered one of Spain’s best wine-producing regions it’s also one of the most ancient wine growing areas in Europe.
The package includes three meals per day including wine served with meals (extra wine can be purchased), accommodation, and drawing excursions across the property that includes vineyards, ruins, mountain aspects for drawing. I’ll be there to give tips and/or direction with drawing. The retreat is a fine tuned balance of excellent food & wine, landscape, and lots of fun socialising and making art.
The dates are Monday – Friday / 20 –24 July 2020.
