Artist and Director of Scratch Art Space, Carmel Francesca Byrne, presents 2023 works in this new exhibition entitled The Secrecy of Doubt. Tensioning aspects of oppression and the subconscious, Byrne creates rich character works with psycho-centric projections, developed from her weekly life drawing studies.
Known for her lean, layered brushwork and large scale figurative pieces, muted pigments signal to her past as an abstract landscape painter while marrying the two worlds in this new, signature form.
