SAS Mentor Program

We’re pleased to announce that our October exhibitions are the result of two recent Fine Art Graduates that have undertaken our SAS Mentor Program for Solo Exhibitions undertaken this year.

The mentorship was established for recent graduates to help equip them to continue to develop their art practice beyond University.

The Program provides support for artists during the lead up to a solo exhibition scheduled annually for October.

The program provides:

  • Detailed information sheets of all the aspects of planning a solo exhibition from the conceptual & material foundations of your practice, to detailed planning of the exhibition including financial and marketing strategies.
  • A series of meetings & studio visits during the eight month lead up to the exhibition.
  • editing of artist statements
  • full assistance with curation and installation of the exhibition.
  • support in running an artist talk or Q&A session during closing weekend of the exhibition.
  • one ‘wrap-up’ session to discuss the exhibition and mentorship experience.

Applications for 2019 are open now.

The mentoring program is a complementary supplement to our usual gallery submission process.
