Barbara Colhoun

Barbara has been a professional jazz singer, writes poetry, and weaves her inspiration for all three creative fields around and through each other over time.

Barbara has worked from home throughout here creative career. Now residing in an aged care resident Barbara continues to paint and has produced this collection of paintings over the past nine months. For this exhibition Barbara presents paintings from three different series titled Adaptations, Moonsong, and the Purple Gang.

Tim Williams

Tim has been making photographs for over 50 years. In recent years he has returned to the simplicty of the format he started with, the 35mm camera, a 35mm or 50mm lens and Black and White film. He loves to walk, to wander, it could be anywhere. In recent times it’s mostly been around familiar places, home, work, the city.

For this exhibition Tim presents On Recent Wanderings

I am an annoying person to walk with. I see things. I am compelled to stop, to explore them. It could be a play of light, a juxtaposition of forms, a person or something out of place, or perfectly in it. I am completely absobed by the process of making the picture, the exposure, the composition, the timing, my position relative to the subject. It’s a special feeling when these things come together to make a picture. It’s a kind of timeless mindfulness. So I mostly walk alone!

The subject is what it is. It is where I find myself. It is what else it can be that interests me. What story can it tell? What emotion can it awaken? What irony can it reveal or what abstract composition can it create?
