Where is the beginning, and is there an end?

The spaces between us are not empty. They are alive with movement, influence and possibility. Each thread contributes to a larger pattern — complex, evolving and impossible to untangle completely. Community lives within these connections. It is not simply a gathering of individuals, but a network: a web of symbiotic relationships, shared experiences and mutual influence. Each embodiment shapes the whole, just as the collective, in turn, enhances each individual.

Intertwined explores the reciprocity that connects us to one another. Through ceramics, textiles, glass, paper, photography and mixed media, the exhibition presents diverse materials, skills and perspectives, reflecting the ways communities are formed through shared experience and exchange. The artists, connected through Sydney College of the Arts, continue to expand their individual visual languages while following divergent paths through time.

Sydney Craft Week 2026

The 10th annual Sydney Craft Week Festival will be presented by UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture, School of Art & Design from 9-18 October 2026.

An initiative of Australian Design Centre (ADC), the first Sydney Craft Week Festival was produced by ADC in 2017 with the Sydney craft community.
